    AZbrian,

My experience has been that these small grooves do not effect casting and coat just fine with no lack of being able to push them hard. I do not think on this bullet having the grooves is a biggie for coating.
You may on the other hand build more chamber pressure without lube grooves because of the sheer size of this bullet.

If you really want to hit em hard I would go gas check. Cast, size and install check, coat and resize. Then you would be able to run em as hard as you would like.

I coat all my bullets and push them all fairly hard with soft alloys and some are groove less and some are regular lube groove.
All of mine are plain base.
The only difference I have noticed is the bullet fall out of them mold easier if they do not have a groove.

This is just my person experience your mileage may vary....

Thank you for your thoughts, Wasalmonslayer. I will consider some more. I will likely stay with the lube grooves.

Sorry to ask but can I change my order to a 8 cav, solid, plain base please? It will be better suited to my needs.

Max- i just notice tonight on the name list that you have spots for "hi-tek" what is this exactly? Can it be a hollow point 4 cav?

    Lakehouse,
The hi tek is for no lube grooves smooth sided for power coat or hi tek coating.

Yes it is available in a 4 cavity PB HP no gas check
