I would be interested in knowing details such as what the course of fire, etc. As far as I know, there is no official target competition events for shotgun slugs in the U.S.

    Congratulations! Let's have the details.

    Excellent!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

    Hello to all.
Only one or two words on the italian championship.
This is a match were the shooters can use only cal 12 and 20 ga rifles loaded with slugs weighing only 28 grams. I use, and many others shooters uses, a Beretta A300 semiautomatic rifle with a 3 stars choche barrel long 65 centimeters with registrable rear and front sights.
The range is 50 meters and the target is as in the pic.
The match is on 16 rounds, 4 rounds in 4 targets. The maximum amount of points are 40 for each target.
There is also a variant in witch the targer is moving from right to left and viceversa. And another variant is shooting at 100 meters to a ceramic plate of about 30 centimeters diameter but in this the shooters are using preferably 32 grams slugs. It are a so difficult shoots also become we can shoots only three rounds on...three plates, one shoot in one target...many difficult.
    Sorry for my bad english.
    Ciao

    Hello Rancher.
The slug is a Cervo (deer in english) weighing obligatory 28 grams. It is made by Locatelli, see the pic. It have a defect, the wad, during the flight, is lost so we are fixing it with glue or by a screw. This slug is loaded with 1,35 grams of Nobel Sport 206V powder. The shell is a Fiocchi 12/70 trimmed to 66 and closed with a roll hem. During the trainig I use a home made Lyman slug with the same component but 1,35 grams of Nobel Sport GM3 powder.
