    WTB AR15 flat top upper receiver WITHOUT fwd assist or case deflector bump (9 mm)

    I am looking for a AR15 flat top upper receiver
    which does NOT have a forward assist boss
    and does NOT have a case deflector bump.

    See attached pic.
    (Not looking for 9mm bolt, barrel, rear sight, delta ring, hand guard, etc.)

    This is known as a "9 mm upper" since
    the 9mm bolt carrier does not have the ratchet cuts needed for a forward assist to work,
    and the 9mm has a different, half-moon plastic case deflector as compared to the
    built in aluminum "pyramid" typically found on 5.56/223 uppers.

    Yes, Rock River has them at $175 a pop.
    Brownell's has real colt uppers at about $160 a pop,
    complete with the visible remnants of the crudely machined off forward assist boss

    Koehlerrk, Thanks for the pointer

    I'm looking for one that also will work with an ejection port door.
    The one at midway is completely slick sided and has no provision for an ejection port door.

    Model 1 Sales webpage looks an awful lot like Rock River's. Are they affiliated?

    Thanks, koehlerrk, that one would fit the bill
    Its $140 with plastic deflector and port door.

    That said, I am looking to save a few bucks as this build is on a shoestring
    So I will keep looking for someone that wants to sell a used/cheaper one.

    I don't know if Model1 is affiliated with RR however yes I agree that the pics on their site look exactly like the pics on RR's site.
    I would not be surprised if they were somehow related.
