    3D Printing Sabots

Has anyone played around with this with their swaged bullets? Just toying with the idea of 3D printing a .338 Caliber Sabot for something like a .308 cal projectile.

Really too busy to pursue this project but wondered if anyone else had done something similar. (I've seen the Remington Accelerators and other similar products but only toyed with them a few times)

Most of the folks who have played around with sabots on precision loads have been very disappointed. As the sabot comes off the bullet, the bullet it's caused to rumble horribly.

Sabots are ok for big heavy muzzleloader slugs and artillery rounds, but not for precision rifle shooting.
