Can you put a jamb nut on it?

I use a flat washer and a wingnut on my vibratory tumblers, with no walkoffs.

My 2000 has two concave flat washers with rubber on one side. Is your set up the same?

I lightly heated my lid with a torch and bent it the opposite way it was bowed. Has worked well for a few years that way now. Mine is a fl 2000

Never had a problem with my 2000. I does still have the metal formed washers that have rubber bonded to them. I would call Dillon and ask for some new washers and a wing nut. I bet they would send them no charge.

Yes, the rubber washers keep the whole thing together. Definitely call Dillon.

Like red dirt posted one washer rubber up inside, set the lid on and one rubber down on top before the wing nut.

If it's comming off with them in place you need to twist the nut tighter.

Dillon sent me the new washer set free....but still seems to loosen. A 4" piece of duct tape,2" on base and 2" taped to lid cured the problem. To remove lid I just remove the tape on the lid and manage to reuse the tape several times. This isonthe Dillon FL2000 vibrating case cleanerafish4570

Simple fix. Get a piece of rubber and make a washer. Put the rubber with the washer on the bottom and the top and your lid will be fine.

I've got two of these and have not had this problem. I tighten the lid just enough to flex the plastic. I often run mine in 12 hour stretches, day after day after day.

You all just need to go to your local big box store or local hardware store and buy a proper thread wellnut.
Made of brass and rubber, you just hand tighten them compressing the rubber and they will never loosen by themselves.
You won't need anything on the rod/under the lid to tighten against for a wellnut.

Most don't have that flange on the rubber end:

If the lid takes a concaved set from the nut pressure, I just flip the lid and run it that way for a while.
Once you use one, you'll find other uses for them,

Yup! My solution was very similar to Kenstone's. About 10 years ago I picked up a replacement appliance knob with a 1/4-20 brass insert and glued a rubber washer to bottom. Still using same knob but have replaced the washer a couple times.
