Question Question for those in the know (BP)

I'm getting interested in the Holy Black powder. Seems folks use a special type of lube which is different than the lube used for smokeless powders.

So the question is: Would it be safe to say since the boolits are powder coated, they would be OK to use in BP loads?

    Ehh..... No!
BP needs lube and lots of it to keep the fouling soft.
BP and no lube will render any gun a smoothbore in a few shots and a bi7ch to clean.

You can shoot PC bullets in a BP gun just fine but they need proper BP lube also.

It's not "a special lube" as there are many different recipes for it out there, but ideally you want one made using natural products. Most use beeswax as the base for their concoction. Mineral oils and BP don't mix too well!
If using brass cases with BP it's a good idea to throw them into a bucket of water as soon as you can after firing, as soaking will make them easier to clean and reduce staining of the brass.
