Flitz is slightly more aggressive than J-B Bore Cleaner, according to Varmint Al. I use Flitz for repairing sizing dies that start scratching, but I've also used J-B. None of my swaging dies have started scratching, so I don't have any experience there.

Here's the link to Varmint Al's page: http://varmintal.com/arelo.htm#Polish

    Hope this helps.

Thanks, I read somewhere on this site about someone using Flitz and was extremely convinced it as a the way to go. All I have at the moment is gray valve lapping compound and it worked on aluminum molds.

I think BT is right or very close. I always thought it was around 7000 grit. I used it to polish a 50 BMG chamber that had sticky extraction. Fixed the problem. I also use it for final polish on draw dies.
