    Question 6.5 Lee mold from midsouth

    Does anyone know what dia. these drop at. I would like to try in a Carcano but need it to drop at .269

    6.5mm boolit

    Don't know if this helps. I bought the Lee mould from Midway that casts a 168 grain flat point gas checked boolit. When I size it to .267" the sizer shines all the driving bands. Dont have any left that are unsized, sorry. I used wheel weights and about one eighth lino. Size might be made larger with the right alloy and temp.
    If it's the same mould it should work.

    ..............The one on the right. The Oldfeller Cruise Missle . My copy of the mould drops right at .269" with old WW metal, or about 12 bhn.

    My lee drops .2695 with my alloy (hard). It is one of the early ones in single cav.

    These Figures are for my mold, and I imagine they will change a small amount as its going to require leementing, the 1st cavity is very "sticky"
