I know I'm a bit late on this thread, but my choice would be the RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme. I can't think of any caliber (other than cases based on the 50BMG) that it can't handle. Combined with my Primer Guard and Case Kicker, I can fly through sizing and depriming. This is my choice, and my 2¢....

A Lee pro1000 is a great decapper. Just use a single die in the first turrent. Once you clean the primmer pocket and primed, put a second turrent in with the powder charge first stage. Seat second stage and crimp third stage.

I already commented on this but here's another reason I'd choose the CO-AX. It doesn't require shellholders (if you have both shellplates) Although not as fast as many other primer seating devices the CO-AX does the job with excellent consistency. It is firmly attached to the press and it is adjustable to fit any case the average handloader requires. So if the main reason to have only a single press why would you want to have extra stuff to make it work? Finally a CO-AX doesn't require keeping spare parts like my Lee turret or the 550.

I commented on this before, but I STILL would take the Redding T-7. As a matter of fact, I just bought a second so I can give one to my Grandson. Awesome press !!

As I have used it more and more, I am starting to swing to the RCBS Turret Press. On sale, the turrets are 40$. I have 3 turrets setup, for 5.56 NATO, 38 Special and 357 Mag. Ordered another turret today to possibly setup for 44 Special and/or 45 Colt.

Forster Coax. It's smooth, dies change easily and I don't waste time chasing spent primers on the floor. I'm glad I bought it to supplement the 550B.

Another vote for the LCT. I actually took my faithful loadmaster off my bench and remounted the LCT. Just don't really need the volume that the loadmaster gives me now days.

My old RCBS JR2...I know there are better presses out there, but it has never let me down and does a great job.

The 550B would be the way to go.

My first press was an RCBS Jr.Loaded many, many 06,38spl,45acp,223 and 7mm Mauser.
If I had to do with just one press,I recon an RCBS Rockchucker would do just fine.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

A Hollywood Senior Turret Press. built like a tank, and you can set it up for anything caliber you have.

Yes. Either this or my Super Turret. I hope to add a 50BMG to my stable one day.

It would be a sad day that this would happen....the guy in me leaning towards rifles might say a T7. The pistolero side would probably win out as I could make do with a 550......

    I'd keep a 550.

Only one press and I still need to load thousands of rounds a year?

Well, I going to throw one out there and wonder if anyone else has seen one. I'm waiting to replace one of my RCBS A4's with a Harrell Precision Turret. Should be in late this next week. I'm excited, been waiting two years to finally get one...

Rcbs rock chucker. Its not the fastest it's not the slowest but it gets the job done right. I've had mine for years and I'm sure it will outlive me. I can work up loads on it, or load quantities. I can load range ammo or precision. It is versatile and less of a fuss to dial in compared to a progressive.

    RCBS rock chucker.
I use five other presses, 2 Dillion 550b, Lyman turret, 3 RCBS reloader specials.
I always go back to the RC to load a new caliber or for rifle cases.
