i've been looking at a husky 146 or a 46 in 9.3x57mm. although it will be a year or so, i still plan on getting it. the 9.5x57mm would be a great cast boolit rifle, but if you know me, i'd have something different. i was looking at the 9.3x57, i thought if it a 57mm then why can't it be 9.3mm-08? now i'm not the smartest guy, but somebody came up with the 9.3mm-08, didn't they?
i mean they took the 308 up and down the scale, 243,260, 7-08, 338 fed, 358, and the 375-08 and i know wildcats that are the 22-08, 257-08 and 270-08, why couldn't it be 9.3mm(.366")-08? so being the....ummm....guy(i won't say it but you can) that i am, i go and look to see what die or what chamber reamers there are. well, i came up with nothing. die-wise, i went to ch4d site and came up with nada. (i still have to come up with more custom die makers) reamers, i looked up a ptg, dave manson, elk ridge, clymer, jgs and 4d rentals and i came up with nothing also.
the 9.3mmx08(or 51mm) will kinda be the same as 9.3x57mm, which i want, but it will still be different. does anybody have a 9.3mm-08 or know of a guy that has it? i'm just curious to know what a 9.3mm-08 does velocity wise?
