I'm using the Hi-Tek powder and mixing half batches at a time. I've learned that canning jars don't work as the acetone evaporates even through the seal. So my question is what kind of containers are ya all using to store the mix?
Thanks.

I use plastic squirt bottles from a beauty supply house. Acetone or mek won't hurt them. They have a spout and cap on them. I put Teflon tape around the treads on the bottle,no problems with leaks. Put a bullet or two in to help mix when I shake. Last I bought was $1.35 each. Used some Texas T two days ago that had been setting on the shelf for 5 months. Came out good!
Boolits !!!!! Does that mean what I think it do? It do!
Harbor Freight item # 66170. Hold up to mixes with acetone and mek.
Ive had great luck with these cheap dollar store water bottles

I use dish soap plastic bottles that have a heavy snap on cap, I don't seem to lose any acetone as the cap body screws on and makes a good seal. These are heavy plastic and I have been using some of the bottles for over a year.
Also they come in several different sizes which makes it nice for how much you want to mix at one time.
PET coca cola bottles work fine for storing mixed coating.
Hooroo.

What is the maximum storage time for mixed product these days anyway?
Mixed product can be stored over a year in a cool dry place in an air-tight bottle. If the solution has thickened you can reconstitute it by adding more acetone. You may find the color may be darker than when originally mixed but the product will still function as when originally mixed.
I switched to bottles from the beauty supply store too, there's a little bit of evaporation since I lost the caps but I just add a splash of spirits if it looks too thick for my application.
