    I also use the 311466. I have 2 moulds for it; a 2 cavity older Lyman that actually drops .313 as cast when #2 alloy is used. I also have a Lyman 4 cavity that is a 311466U. It drops #2 alloy bullets right at .311.

    Thus I use a lot of 411466Us as it is an extremely accurate bullet at regular and HV (2200 - 2600+ fps). In .30 cals I use the 311466Us in the 30-30, .308 CBC, .308W (I have 10, 11 and 14" twist rifles) and the 30-06. In .31 cals I use the 2 cavity 311466 at .312 or .313 size in the 7.62x39, 7.62x54R, the .303 Brit and the 7.65 Argentine.

    Here's what it can do out of my 14" twist .308W Palma rifle at a screened (Oehler M35P at 15') 2614 fps;

    This is a favorite of mine in 30-30 cartridges with 17.5 grains of 2400. Very accurate for this rifle. ^Not that accurate ,though.

    Yes, I also push the 311466U to 2900 fps in my 16" twist 30x60 XCB with 1 1/2 moa accuracy. In my 12" twist M70 Target .308W I push to 2350 fps with very good accuracy but best accuracy is down around 2000 - 2100 fps using 2400,4227, 4198 and 4759.....if you have any. I use 10 shot strings btw. In 10" twists best accuracy will be in the 1750 - 1900 fps range with the faster powders mentioned.

    Excellent shooting ! But you missed the dime !!

    I've used the 466 in a couple different rifles all shot well enough . Did real well in the 300 BO I had a while back, believe I was using RE7 not a fast load but it shot well

    It wasn't my dime and I'm too frugal (cheap) to use my own..

    If you can get Lee on a good day their 155-2R is no slacker either.

    From my earlier posting sorry but no krag experience

    It's biger brother the 467 also did well in that caliber for me but the AR barrel I had made wasn't the standard fast twist it was a 20" with a 12 twist with carbine gas system chambered and functioned a lot of different bullets and loads that most AR's wouldn't it always more accurate for me with most 150-200 gr bullets and full cases of slower powders like RE7 and even slower like 4895 and RE15 Believe it or not .

    Thanks. Mine is a bolt (Savage Axis) with a 1-10 barrel, 17 1/2 inch . actually it is a 30-223. Can't hardly find loads for it,but the 300 BLK give me a place to start.

    I size down and paper patch mine for a 30-30.
    Shoots good as I have found...and better than some.
    A little better and cheaper than j word's.
    not that good as listed above but as good as this thing will shoot.

    Then it should be a good candidate for the 30-223 and 30-40 krag !
