Tips on Reading the Bible Daily

    1. Start reading the Bible today -- there is no better time, and there's no reason to wait.

    2. Set aside a specific time each day. Set your schedule and then stick to it. Mornings are great, but feel free to use any time that works consistently for you.

    3. Read the Bible for the sake of learning, not simply to accomplish your next reading. Say a short prayer to God before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding, then be refreshed by the words you read!

I am doing this with you. Unlike some reading plans, this plan is for a whole week (7 days). So if you need Saturday off you'll have to add another day during the week.

    Good
I am honored to join you in using the plan you suggested in the first place
I like it as it is chronological

Thanks, Mort. I believe chronologically is the best way to do this. Just helps it make more sense, and one can interconnect what's happening at any given point with what's transpired prior to that time. It can make a difference.

I've never successfully completed this before, so I'm going to give it another try and I've started along with you today. Thanks for doing this!

So today is day 59 how are you guys doing?

Is there a way to change the days to the date?
    For example
    Day 59- numbers 11-13
    July 29- numbers 11-13
when the dust settles and the smoke clears all that matters is I hear the words " well done my good and faithfully servant "

I'm working through a bit faster, day 99, must be using roughly the same plan on an app for my tablet. Just hit Samuel.

In my 59years I didn't realize that other than the 4 Gospels, there were numerous books of the old testament that mirrored each other. Guess reading in chronological order does reveal this doesn't it! Day 182.....
