I got my new load for elk. 250gr REAL bullets and 80gr Pyrodex P ( Working with 2fg goex next ) she shoots like a dream with those connies and super easy to reload. I do have to use a lubed veg wad in order to obtain accuracy. Other than that, that was easier than I thought.

Dads, young elk for 2018. 250gr REAL @ 50ish yards. Only shot present was a neck shot and he took it. The elk dropped on the spot. 80gr Pyrodex P.

Exit, You can see the angled shot where the bullet came out just in front of the shoulder.

Completed the hunt ( I had a bear tag which was not to be found lol ) in elk hide mocs, brain tanned elk buckskin pants. Got some looks indeed! But at least I wasn't riding the roads decked out in camo like the fools giving me odd looks

I see that my bull pictures are broken so I will redo them for folks that stop by.

My dad had a very good hunt for the 2018 season!
