Anybody with even a hobby mill could get that done, ask the local machine shop near closing time while holding a cold six pack of a tasty adult beverage, you may get it done for a few beers...

This is how I modified the 6-cavity to get what you are wanting to cast. I have not done a 2 cavity but it should be easy to do.

I did that with the LEEc452-300-rf a couple years ago. It became my favorite mold.
Heck, i'd like to do mine like that, thats real nice.
I took off .100" from my Lee mold. The slug casts at 265 grains using COWW. The work was done on a milling machine at a small local shop. No charge for the machine time. No modification was required on the sprue plate screw.
Frank Siefer and I designed the original bullet. The shortening shown here looks like a great additional design.

I did this long ago. It makes an excellent boolit. A post I made about it from 2005 can be found in this thread http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...unds-of-Energy
You can also remove the step working slowly and carefully by hand. Ink the cavity so you can see what you are doing with a black marker. With a sharp exacto knife ( you want the smallest stiffest blade that's available) and sharp blade work around just peeling a small chip each stroke working evenly around the cavity until you just touch the ink below the gas check done carefully you can hold this very true and even. You could finish by lightly lapping this area round and true
PM me if you still need your mold done.

derek, how much did you have machined off? And what weight is it with what alloy? Thanks for sharing. ~Bazoo
Those are some sweet bullets. Lee needs to make that a factory offering. I bet they would sell well.
Have you shot any of those yet?

It can be done easily in a lathe with a four jaw chuck also.
