102g cast bullet for plinking loads in a 9.3x62?

    Guys,

NOE has a 102g plain base mold available. I’m assuming it’s for some kind of pistol caliber. Do you think a bullet this small could be used in a Husqvarna 24” barrel in 9.3x62 for light, pistol powder, “cat sneeze”-type plinking loads? I have no idea what the twist rate is, btw. Don’t have the rifle yet.

Lots of people on here have used small appropriately sized boolits for plinking in rifles. Ive seem some 32ACP boolits used in 30-30 and 30-06 and 308 for 800 to 1200 fps loads popping cans and such. My advice would be to size them correctly and check for bore obstructions after each firing to ensure they are exiting the barrel. Bullseye, Red Dot, Unique, etc are good for this.

Most likely that boolit is for the Makarov 9mm which is a .366 boolit. Humm, I have Miha's comparable mold but I'm just getting started shooting my 9.3x57 - playing with that boolit is probably quite a ways down the road.

MY husky in 9.3x57 has a 1x14 twist if that is any help. And slug the barrel. Mine has a .368 bore and the throat is .370 and the throat on mine are long. Frank
