Moved from Il last Dec to Steelville, Mo

Was wondering if there were any casters, reloaders in the area.

bbs70, welcome to some of the best Missouri has to offer. You are in a beautiful part of our state. Unfortunately I am quite a distance from you. Enjoy the rivers and forests of your area.

About an hour and a half north of you. How did you fare through the storms yesterday?

Lot of us in and near Springfield west of you
Storms were intense at times and the light was a weird color around 3 pm

Storm was no problem, no damage, but dogs didn't like it.
It did seem like the light was a different color

We had to run the generator for a day but no other troubles.
Our church in Salem lost the gym building.

Still trying to get use to where everything is here in Mo.
Just found out Sligo isn't all that far from me.
Am truly sorry to hear about Salem losing the gym building.
    Hope no one was injured

That's a nice area. Close to Cuba and rolla mo. It's a also real good area for metal detecting lots of civil war camps and bullets every where

    Never thought of that.
I haven't metal detected in years, now I have the time I just might look into the area more.
Had a blast detecting years ago till one day I had head phones on and wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and ran up on several snakes.

I'm in Salem. We lost power but everything at our place is good. I've got lots of cousins in Steelville and wife went to school there (from Cook Station).

One of my daughters lives in steeleville.

Gym was empty so no injuries. Made the Salem news though.

It is a great club there. I've shot a cmp match there before. Very nice folks! Watch out for skeeters in the summer at that range. It's in a wooded area.

When I went detecting there years ago I found round balls and three ring minis. Right on the rolla exit on both sides in the fields I heard people finding hundreds of civil war bullets. We took the rolla exit don't rember exit number and went east for about 6 miles. The rolla exit is where the troops would meet the train to get supplies and there pay. The long walk back to camp they lost coins ,bullets and everything eals they had in there pockets. Only thing I rember it was in a big field and farm land all around .the road we took was I thank was gravel and followed the old civil war road to the train from there camps. Good luck
