Need a bit of advice

Been playing around with my .357Max shooting the RD359190 boolit with GC and getting phenominal accuracy, 9/16 by 1/4 at 50. This with 28gr A1680. What I'm wondering is: my mold is 3GC and 3PB and want to try some of the PB. Will the A1680 likely be a good starter powder (probably lighter loads) or might it be better to try 4227 or maybe 2400? I'm sizing .359 for a .358 bore so getting a good seal. Any thoughts? Goatwhiskers

I use Unique for my PB light loads in 30-30, but I've heard 2400 is really good too.

try the 1680 you should be able to back down the load.
i have used aa-2230 with a 250 gr boolit but there isn't any load data, i just started with aa-1680 data and went from there.
2400 is much more flexible, a plain based boolit going 1200 fps should be easily doable.

I guess my question should have been what range of velocity should I try to work with on PB boolits. I just recently got back in the game, prior experience was with GC in a .44. Boy, I didn't know anything back then, stories of the errors would fill a book. Anyway, my goal is accuracy, not speed. Goat

You should have no problem with velocity. I would just make the boolit a little harder if accuracy does not match the GC.
As I watch my .44 GC's dwindle, then see the price plus postage, I will be making more PB molds.
I use PB in all my other revolvers but never got around to the .44.
