    .243w 70gr LBT cast load info?

    I've searched and read, looked through all manuals, even the Lyman cast 11th edition! But I'm finding nothing for a 70grn cast, much less the LBT mold!
    This is for my sons single shot Rossi, so not a high volume shooter. I have Varget, Popper is trying to talk me into 4895 (for my LR-308 loads), Unique, AA #7 andAA #5, on hand.
    These will be PC'd and I don't have to cycle an action. I've read these rifles like the lighter bullets, why I got the mold, so anyone have suggestions?

    I'm not familiar with that bullet but my 80 grain gc boolet does well with 10 grains of Unique, and without the gas check I have done nicely with 8 grains of the Unique.

    11 Grains Reloader 7 works for me

    I used H4895 for the G.K.s 243 with 90gr jacketed, worked fine there too. Down loaded to youth loads for them but in 6 mo. they were shooting factory ammo. Varget was pretty much unobtanium back then.
    Whatever!

    There are 3 loads for 80gr in castpics (link at bottom of the page), lists MAX load, just reduce by 10% and work you way up.
    using powders:
    2400
    Unique
    IMR 4227

    My personal pet load for the NOE 245-75gr with a alloy that's about 16BHN.
    Mil surp powder Alcan 9450, which Jeff at GIbrass says is very similar to SR4759, which is the data where I started.
    15gr gave me about 1900fps and the best accuracy.
    from Lyman manual data, I calculate about 21K PSI
