Ok Ruger- we need a MiniMini 14 sized for pistol cartridges!
Doesn't Chiappa or someone make an M1 carbine clone in 9mm?
I love my .30 carbine but one in the cheap to shoot 9mm would be schweet.

I'm really surprised to find out that Ruger doesn't make the American Pistol in 40 S&W?
.40 Short and Weak is dead. Law enforcement is going to the 9, higher capacity, lower recoil, and cheaper ammo.
What would be awesome would be a Ruger American Pistol in 10mm.
Semper Fi!
Currently casting for .223, .308, .30-06, .30-40 Krag, 9mm, .38/.357, 10mm, 44 Mag and 45 ACP.

I have both the Chiappa M-1 9 and the Hi-Point 40 S&W carbine. Fun guns and no complaints with either. The 40 S&W is a better round in the carbine than in a pistol in my opinion. Gp
had a high point 40 myself. It was dead reliable but I just couldn't handle the ugly. Gave it to my neighbors son. He loves the thing. I don't know how many thousand rounds have been through it but the number has to be well over 50k. I saw the new ones. Threre still ugly but not near as ugly as the older ones.
I sent him a letter:
Sir,
Thank you first for providing we Ruger customers with this venue for speaking directly with you.
Although the Ruger Police Carbine may have had slow sales leading to it's discontinuation, 2nd hand sales are both brisk and commanding high prices. It has become well known that not only have the PC9 and PC4 proven to be rugged and reliable, but one of the true high standards in pistol caliber carbines.
With the ever growing interest and popularity of pistol caliber carbines, it seems that a resurrection of the Ruger Carbine (using current Ruger magazines) would be a well received addition to your offerings.
Thank you for your time.
Cordially,

I have and still shoot my Marlin Camp 45 . Blackjack buffers traded me my recoil buffer to make a mold from and sent me a lifetime supply in return .It is hard on buffers that's for sure . Always wanted to thread it and suppress it .
While we're dreaming, CMMG is out with a AR platform 45acp rifle using Glock mags. When I win the lottery, I'm going to have one of these.

Last round bolt hold open, too! Nice.
I would have to look at one really close. I like the M1 carbine but it's not nearly as cheap to shoot and not nearly as accurate as I'd like. If someone could come up with something to shoot half way accurately and not look like an AR I'd be interested. My all time favorite pistol cartridge rifle was actually an old lever action Rossi 92. One of those in 9mm would be fun too. I'd just like one for cheap fun, not self preservation so high cap mags are of zero concern to me personally. Had a 9mm largo Destroyer carbine that was very accurate out to 100 yards but I traded it in a weak moment. That was a very cool little rifle.
I would love to have a destroyer carbine. The Chiapa m-1 9 is very appealing to me, although I would have to shoot one before committing. I sold my hi point 995 to a good friend and now he won't sell it back. If the m-1 9 is anywhere near as reliable and accurate as the hi point, I would jump all over it.
I had a Chiapa m1 9mm. The accuracy was good enough. The reliability left something to be desired. Not function so much as sights falling off. They did put a dovetail rib similat to the ones on 22lr rifles on top of the receiver which can be used to mount a scope or red dot sight(which I did and it worked fine).
After the first 50 rounds and a good cleaning and oiling, the feeding and ejection was positive. Trigger was heavy but it is a carbine and not a target rifle.
It is still limited to about 100 yards for most uses.
Marlin camp carbine in 9mm/45acp ?
