I have one at each end of the $$ and power spectrum.

The first is an iron sighted Glenfield Model 10 22LR. The only modification is a strip of paper between the barrel and forearm. I learned to shoot with this gun in the early 70s. It will consistently hit match heads at 50 yards. Nothing fancy but it sure is accurate. My 12yr old son loves it.

The second is a factory stock Weatherby Mark V Stainless in 30-378 wearing a Leupold 50mm VX-III 4.5-14 with a German #4 reticule. With a Barnes 165gr X bullet loaded over a CCI LR Magnum primer and 107.0gr of Hogden H1000x it will group under 1moa out beyond 400yd.

    Tikka T3 Varminter in 308

    Tikka T3 Lite in 223

    Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55

    Remington CDL in 17 Remington

All had stellar accuracy out of the box once I worked up the proper loads. They may or may not have been as accurate shooting off the shelf factory ammo.

    I have several Savages .......
A 308 110E I added some bedding and anything under 175 gr shoots 2" or less through a wide range of loads . 145-168 gr whether NATO or the big 4 shot 1.5 and within 3" of POA . Length of the bullets doesn't matter as much as the actual weight . A 180 RN Hornady is shorter than the 168s and has more bearing length ....... They won't shoot nor will the 311291 .

325C Savage 30-30 same thing factory or hand loads from 5.0 Unique to full cases of H322 and I4350 97-175gr PB,GC,PP.

    340 Savage 222 1" 45-62 gr , NOE 225-55 , Lee Bator , Hornady , Federal , Remington , Privi , all within 2-3" of POA .

I'm going to include an 1895 45-70 Remlin in this as well not for it's great groups but because it shoot the same groups from hopped up Colts level to full throttle 45-70 with 230-425 gr Privi factory 405s and hand loads PB and PP .

Mine is a 722 Rem in 222, I got it from an old fellow next town over, and he used it as his main deer rifle for over 30yrs. Other hunters told him 222 was to small for deer, his reply was, heads shots save meat! It will shoot factory ammo under 1" no problem, and that was some vintage ammo that come with the rifle, but I tried one load suggested by a friend, and it will shoot 3/4 on any given day, so I left well enough alone!

Savage heavy barrel .223 69 gr SMK literally will put 10 shots in 1/2 group at 100. Savage 308 heavy barrel 165 SMK 44 grains of Varget 1/2 inch 10 shot groups at 100. The surprise is a 1972 Marlin 1895 in 45/70 with 300 gr hornady Jacketed and 4198 @ 75 yards and the rifle sitting on the bags EXACTLY the same spot each shot...You think you are missing the target after the first shot bug holes every time. Now let's be clear there was a WHOLE lot of shooting and experiment tobget the loads right.

    Bolt action?

A Masterpiece Arms in 6.5 Creedmoor. From the factory it's guaranteed 3/8" at 100. It shoots considerably better than that with tailored handloads and is only limited by the shooter.

I'm hoping the Remington 5-R Tactical .260 is one of them I'm having a PTG bottom DBM metal put in, and the bolt timed as well, should have it back by the end of this week. Then, i'll find out.

The most accurate rifle I have is a Sako 75 Hunter in 30-06 will group Nosler Ballistic tips (165 grain) into an inch or less. Loves the old M72 '06 match ammo and that will hover around the inch mark. The other one is a pre ban Colt Hbar in 5.56 and when the old eyes cooperate will chew the center out of the target. And that with some old South African M193 loaded with a 55 graim boat tailed bullet. Frank

Remington 700 ADL in .243 Win I bought in 1985 just after I hit 18 yrs old. First load I ever put together for it with Hornady 100 gr BTSP and IMR 4350 put 3 shots in a little under 3/4 MOA. That was the end of load development althoughI suspect I was more limiting than the gun. My Rock River AR-15 A2 NM, anything outside the 1 MOA X-Ring on a SR-1 is my fault, not the rifle's. That's slung up prone off a mat with iron sites, not benched with optics. Load development was trivial, 80 gr Custom Comp with 24.5 gr of RL-15, 77 gr Custom Comp with 24 gr of RL-15 or any 50-55 gr with 25 gr of Alliant Varmint.

    My best w this gun
    An average cold barrel group

Even the 40x 22 can shoot, here is the sporter at 100

Or 2 groups in the 22 in standard configuration at 100
