Boyds Contender forearm understanding?

I'm getting some new wood for my contender set up (straight bull barrels ~.810") and I really like the boyds forearm I tried in the past. I go to boyds site and they have a "rifle" forearm where the barrel channel comes out to 13/16" so ~.810" and then they have a "heavy rifle" forearm that has a channel of 7/8" or .875"

My question is if I have a straight bull barrel then what is heavy rifle forend for? bedding?

Talked with Boyds and the only thing they could say was that the "heavy rifle" forearm was for a larger barrel.... So I guess it comes down to...who makes a barrel that is larger than the standard TC factory barrel of around 13/16????????

I did when you had posted it, I'm not seeing anything about barrel channel sizing except on their order page which shows only .800" bull barrel, "tapered" and "encore"

I didn't say I needed the best, I just need one that works with what I have. I have custom contender wood already. But all I'm looking for is a affordable black/grey forearm (like boyds pepper) for my bull barrel.

WW, the one I showed will take any barrel size. I also have a NIB rifle for sale.
