    LOL, Like a new groom on his wedding night. After 30 or 40 more years and a 100 or so more acquisitions, the thrill will be tolerable until then: c'est la vie

    Addiction? This is no addiction . I don't need to cast boolits ,reload ,or shoot. I can quit anytime I want. I do it to save money. NOT!!! It's a full on 3 alarm fire addiction. Welcome to the Addiction my friend.- CASTER
    In regards to shooting safety.Until you are ready to fire, keep your booger hook off the bang switch.

    Back to waiting for this gun again ... had to return it to S&W. The cylinder doesn't always turn, and the trigger sticks in it's rearward position. Other than that it was a blast putting 100 magnum rounds through it.

    [QUOTE=ghh3rd;4049799]Dear Abby,

    I have a revolver (S&W 686+ .357 Magnum Deluxe 3") on layaway, that I will pay off on June 9. After that, I will have to wait for my payment to clear, and for the vendor to ship it to my FFL.

    What can I do to cope with these obsessive thoughts about all of the fun I expect to have with it when I finally have it?

    ps

    I was diagnosed with this affliction in 1960. It's been a long hard recovery but I have been told that there is no permanent cure. I found this to be true, even though it subsided somewhat during a couple of divorces due to lack of funds to perpetrate this habit. But..alas, it returned with a vengeance and now, shows no signs of remission. The positive note...it is not terminal, but ,my brother, there is no cure. Make the best of it by having a substantial supply of primed and belled brass on hand for further trials. "Go now and pour yourself a hot one". Murf205

    Get about 6 more moulds.... ( "is 6 enough, is 12 too many ?") One mould will just NOT do !

    I have not found this step to be necessary.

    At 50 yards, my 686 produces one hole targets with every load I feed it.

    Attachment 198556Attachment 198554Attachment 198555William, I just couldn't stop at one so I ruined ,my one hole group with a few more but this is what my 686 usually does when I do my part. These are @ 40 yds IIRC. A 686 is worth the wait.
