Losing a buddy is always tough. Dogs are part of the family. Best wishes to your family.

Sorry for your loses. Losing a dog is always hard. Mine is getting old and I dread the day he passes.
sitting here right now with our new pup sitting in the chair next to me thinking about my old pal that's gone. I think hed be pleased that I'm giving this new dog the great life he had. I think he sitting up there in heaven happy knowing both of us are eventually coming up there to play with him.

Thanks everyone for understanding it's very comforting to have people who understand us dog guys . Glad to see I'm not the only person like this .i have a black lab puppy coming from Jakes bloodline he was born 4/27 17 should be here by June 20 I can't wait it's been almost 30 years for me with a dog theses last few days are tough
We had to put our chocolate lab, "Dutch" down last fall. Also 13 years. As close to us as our kids. Cancer, really tough. Still can't bring my self to think about another yet.
Sorry for your loss. I lost my first lab in 2007 and like others thought I could/should go without but could not. Now I have one every bit her equal but alas even she is getting old now. Hate to admit it but she probably won't be the last... they give so much love and loyalty without asking anything in return.
