    Good morning
Being a fellow 1876 shooter I have much enjoyed reading this. That is one of the nicest 45-75's I have seen outside of a show or collection in many a day. You have given your dad a fine gift of love. Maybe he will shoot it. I would highly recommend cross sticks. That is how the long ago buff hunters did it. Good steady hold and the body flows with the recoil.

Aren't we blessed to have fathers who took us afield at an early age? So many youngsters today will never have those memories to cherish. Still hunt frequently with my sons and now grandson and opening day dove season is always special. Before he died he had his well worn BAR 30-06 cleaned up and engraved to great grandson Tyler who just turned 14 and he knows nothing about it. It's a lot of gun so thinking his 16th birthday would be a fine time to make the presentation. Thanks for the jogging the old memory bank.
