    Boolit Lube

I have been using Lyman Orange Magic Lube for several years now and I am always having to clean some of the stuff up during sizing and lubing with the Lyman 4500 sizer with heater element. I decided to recycle the stuff the other day so I had an old tube from the orange magic. I heated the old lube up and I put a 3/8 metal rod in the center of the tube and poured in the old lube it cooled and I had almost an entire tube of lube with the hole down the center just like the factory stuff. Now my question is, are there any good formulas that could be made up and used in the same fashion. I know the Lyman stuff is not all that much, but to be able to make up a few tubes of homemade lube would be cool.

here is a couple of recipes

I haven't tried the simple lube, but I hear of good results.

if you priced Lyman's lube and thought it was cheap, then if you see what randyrat charges, you'll wonder why anyone is making their own lube...I think the ingredients would cost more than his lube.

The same could be said for Glenn at White Label Lubes, also.

Wow......That is great. There is no way I would even consider making any now. Thanks much.. I really did not think Lyman was a great price, but that I was not seeing anything any cheaper around me.

I will place an order with both guys in the links. Thank You ....
