Winchester 748 works pretty well in my 30-30's. Cast boolits or condom-style 170 grain variety. I mostly use the Lyman 311411 boolits, but I have that group-buy mold mentioned earlier, plainbase and jacketed, works pretty well too.

and never shot it anyway I would like to use my Lyman 31141 mold only powder I have on hand is pistol powder
Unique and RedDot if I use one of these powders is a filler needed and or would I be better off to pick up some other powder like IMR 3031 I'm just looking to shoot paper & steel from 50 to 100 yards
    Thank's
Is that a 26" barrel? That might affect the optimal load a bit versus shorter barreled Ranger and Marlin shooters. I think you might find there are all kinds of good powders that work in the 30/30. Heck most anything works well in the 30/30 with cast.
I give loading advice based on my actual results in factory rifles with standard chambers, twist rates and basic accurizing.
My goals for using cast boolits are lots of good, cheap, and reasonably accurate shooting, while avoiding overly tedious loading processes.
The BHN Deformation Formula, and why I don't use it.
How to find and fix sizing die eccentricity problems.
Do you trust your casting thermometer?
    A few musings.
