    Curing ....Prague No 1 Question

    Due to getting old and so never having been very smart anyway I forgot ! How much Prague power No 1 to use per 5 lb's of meat to cure ? Can't remember if its 1 tea or tablespoon .

    Too much or too little Pink Curing Salt can adversely affect health, taste, and food quality. Overall it is recommended that you use one ounce of Prague Powder #1 to twenty-five pounds of meat or fish. instructions from

    Thank you ! Read the ..usage part in the link . It's one teaspoon for 5 pounds (what I thought) .

    I teaspoon per 5 lbs is what I was allways told.
