John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Two great guns there.
I am a Rugerite, love 'em
Great acquisitions! Can't wait to hear a range report, I dare you to try wear out those Rugers -ha! What loads are you planning on trying first?
I love the Ruger, carried the Security Six 6" stainless as a peace officer for almost 10 years in the 80's.
The fibre optics are ugly but they do increase visibility of the front sight.
Ruger sure got every right with at MC. I bought the SP as soon as it came out, serial number just over 1000.
With that many 357s instead of slugging, how bout ordering a handful of single pin gages from Meyer Gage? For 35 caliber I would say Z minus gage pins, starting at .356" and going in half thousandths to .359" ought to cover it! It would find a tight or loose throat in a jiffy!
Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? I own many of the very same guns you have. All my SP-101's are the fixed sight variety,,, but I have a few other calibers! The MC was so nice to shoot & impressed me to where it made me buy another GP-100 in 6" to make sure it has some company!
I burned more Blue Dot than any other powder through my .357's. It's a great powder for everything except night firing. Too much muzzle flash.

I am not a .357 man but I would love to have either. I do have all to load for them so it would just be a gun. No further expense.
Good looking Rugers!
I do wish they offered the 4.2" barrel SP101 with a half lug or lighter barrel. Like you, I feel it's a tad muzzle heavy.

I'll be needing that for squirrels and such.....
I still like the Security Six the best. But those are some nice revolvers you have there.
Best, Thomas.
Love my MC except for the front sight. I would love to find a black Patridge or ramp for it and my GP .44 special
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.
Hello Three-Fifty-Seven, Nice Ruger revolvers you have and great informative thread!
