    500 S&W mold

    Looking for a +/- 400gr mold for 500 S&W. Almost convinced I need a 50-400E Accurate mold.
Is anyone using this mold for 500 S&W?
Is there something else I should look at before I pull the trigger?

I made my mold a 440 gr for the JRH and it shoots great from a S&W. But a 400 will do it too. Just need .501".

I have this mold. But haven't used it yet. The big hollow point drops about 50gr. I think Miha's got some in stock still. Far cry from 400gr I know, but bigger's better right?...

I have been cycling through a lot of 500 molds lately and the humble Lee 440 WFN is an impressive shooter, with equally impressive results on impact.

A bit heavier than what you want, but certainly worth consideration.

The only one I have so far for my 15" Encore is the Lee, it ends up at 450gr with powdercoat and gas check. It is a very impressive shooter and I've seen what those boolits look like after hitting dirt... wow
