I have a few sets of their dies, no complaints whatsoever. They are usually the least expensive place to get dies for uncommon cartridges.

Sometimes they are the only place to get dies for uncommon calibers. What Dave has on the shelf is amazing - but send him a chamber cast and he will make anything. I have an old (1885-1892) Cape gun, the rifle side is 10.5x47mmR. I sent him a chamber cast and called him - mine was different than the other 23 10.5x47R chambers he had on record!!

Does that mean that none of the 24 matched, or only yours did not match.

if you are looking for a review of CH4d dies...I have 3 or 4 CH4d (standard) die sets in my collection of 50+ dies sets...most are older, I'm thinking manufactured in the 1970s? just a guess? anyway, they have functioned as good as any other standard dies I have used.

No, all 24 were slightly different, enough that he had to make different size dies for each. These guns were all made before standardization - every gunsmith had the cartridges (based on the Mauser A - 11mm Mauser cartridge) but probably made his own reamers.

I have several sets for unusual chamberings; 6mmx222, 8x56MS, 401 Herters Powermag, 375 Whelen, 400 Whelen and 10.75x57. Service has always been great and prices are far less than the same dies from RCBS. The quality is excellent.
Only left handed guns are interesting!

I have used C&H( now CH4D) dies since the 60's and have never had reason to complain. Dave and his group are great to deal with also. james

I'll try and give them a call tomorrow. I'd like the dies set up for .460 boolits. I see they come set up for .458. I would be nice not to work the brass so much.

I prefer CH4D to all others. Dave and Dawna Davison are the best. They can make custom make dies to your specifications. When you call usually a live person answers ....that is so neat !
