is Uberti Lightning twice as good as the Taurus ? 45 colt

I was all set to buy a Taurus lightning next week, then I read some internet reveiws that were negative . Ive not been able to talk to anyone here who likes there Taurus soo. If i could save 6 months for the Taurus i could save another 6 for an Uberti.
Any one here like their's ?

The only pump action Lightnings I have heard consistently good things about are the Pedersoli ones.

I too have been curious about owning a slide action cowboy gun, but have shied away from both the Taurus and Uberti models because of all the negative reviews.

If you decide to go with either Uberti or Pedersoli I would advise ordering it through Cimarron or Taylors. Both Cimarron and Taylors have excellent costumer service.

I have handled Taurus and Uberti guns, but not the Lightnings. I would absolutely pay double for the Uberti quality over a Taurus.

I bought the Taurus becasue i got a good deal on it. I was looking at the Pedersoli on sale at Cabelas. I was all set to pay the 799.88 but they would not ship.

They both have a terrible reputation for cowboy action. I just bought mine for off hand plinking. I have not got to the range with it

had a tarrus and it was a total ***. It went down the road real fast. Buddy has a uberti and it runs flawlessly. So yes in my opinion its worth 4 times what the tarrus is. That is if you really have to have one.
