Have a carbine that is having a lot of problems with the 10 round mags, was thinking of changing it over to 22 spitfire since us California folk are stuck with 10 round mags.
would like to know if the spitfire has the some feeding problems?

I have an old Johnson carbine in 5.56 Spitfire, it feeds perfectly
Yes, we have one, is a really fun cartridge, make our own ammo which is very easy to do. The 'Spitfire' barrels are not all that common, maybe out there you could find one (CAL), could it be your mag with the problem, check to see if the spring is in correctly, too, also do believe there are not 10rd mags made, most are cut down ones from 15 rd'ers.
Spring in mags are in correctly, my carbine is a national ordinance, found. The cases hitting on a sharp edge on both sides, catching the edge of the cases and stopping the bolt, smoothed them out and did a lot of adjustments on the lips of the mags and now they are feeding about 6 out of 10 rounds.
problem now is sharp edge on barrel, this one has the 1903 cut down barrel inserted into the back half of the carbine barrel, no bevel on back of barrel to help ease the round in chamber.
dont know if there is supposed to be one or not?
all I can find to feed this is berrys plated and soft point round nose and they jam on edge of barrel and get cut up pretty bad, that is were all my FTF are coming from now.
would it hurt to put a small bevel of back edge of barrel to help with feeding?
as soon as I can get some FMJs I think they will help.
have a friend that has a 22 spitfire that is letting me barrow it, maybe I can talk him out of it.
