    Forming 7.62x45 brass

Lots of old posting on various sites.

    Thanks

Donnelly says to start with .220 Swift brass. After looking at all the steps I'm glad I didn't buy one of those rifles, neat as they are.

The RCBS forming die sets have base forming dies to make them from .308 brass. This would be a really tedious process.

I think you would be better off starting with PPU 7.35 Carcano brass which did not exist when the case forming books were written.
    .35 Remington is another candidate.
