I have the rcbs 25 auto mold and I'm wanting to add a new mold in that caliber, what are you fellas using? I would like to stay in the 50gr range, but other than that, I'm open to almost anything.

You might contact LBT . He will custom make a mold to your desired diameter and weight . Marvin
Psweigle, I have to know. What are you shooting 25 in? Curiosity gets the better of me alot.

Erma ep25 and a phoenix arms hp25a, and very soon, a single shot rifle.
Can't believe I'm the only guy here that casts and reloads 25 Auto.
Not a Mold but a "Possible Source" of cast Bullets:
"Hunters Supply" Has a Mold They do not list now that drops 63 grain RFN Bullets with a Wide Lube Groove 'ostensibly for .25 Air rifles.
Last Year I was Able to negotiate a Hand Cast run of 1000 Bullets from them.
(They do list two 48 grain bullets for 6,35/.25 use also worth looking at, one is a HP design.)
This is slightly light for my desired .25 Stevens (Long) CF replacement cartridge, but does work well. I have Used Lee Tumble Lube for them and fired a few with 3.0 Grains of BE-85 Propellant. Robust performance out of a 10-5/8" Barreled Custom Ruger Single Eight Revolver in "25 Auto/6,35 Browning".
I 'Drool' thinking of when Hornady will again Produce their 60 grain JHP .257 Diameter Bullets again. They can be Sized down to .251" and Do work nicely in .25ACP cases. You Do need to work up a Load due to the Slight Reduction in Powder Chamber Capacity at .905" OAL due to the Longer Bullet.
Lyman does still offer a 257420 Mold that seems to drop various weights depending upon the reporter; although it is nominally a 65 grain design.
There is a "Group Buy" in progress at NOE molds for the Rnch dog TC255-50 design.
I have my name in the list for a mold and there are still four Spots to be spoken for to get them started.

Is the ranch dog mold any better than the rcbs? And what is it made out of?

I prefer LBT . I prefer aluminum molds and I like LBT cutter . It seems to transfer heat faster for the smaller diameter bullets . Which allows me to be able to cast a little faster and not have fined bases . But that's me . The MP I had was brass and with the small cavities it was heavier than what I like . That is why I sold it and my RCBS . Another plus with LBT is the custom diameter and weight option . Here is a picture of my bullet from the LBT mold .Marvin

I cast and load 25 acp.
I have a 251 " rcbs 50 grain mold
And an rcbs 257 " mold for .257 cal rifle.its a 65 grain mold.
Haven't used the rifle mold yet, but it will have to be sized down to .251.
Then it's also 65 grains, but a flat nose.
Experimental loads planned with that one.
Also picked up a .25 caliber pellet mold from NOE.
Need to try that one also.
Then, I have loaded #3 buckshot.
It will shoot both with a primer and 1.3 grains bullseye to shoot thru both sides of a steel tin can and knocked down a rabbit.
#3 buck are very accurate.
Have a spanish colt .25.
Been playing with it over 30 years.
Nothing last ten years till I came across this thread.
I got the .25 pellet mold a year ago. Lead is scarce to illegal and nonexistent. I have a few pounds left to try the pellet mold.
The pellet mold is supposed to be .251 and I just like to tinker with this reloading .h
Even shot primer powered wax slugs and some cast hot glue bullets. You can get rabbits and squirrels with those as well as the .25 launches them at high velocity with just a primer.
Of course this is very close range stuff, but try it and you will be amazed.
Not a toy, Not airsoft either.
But the real thing using a different substance as a projectile.
A longer barrel actually slows down the wax or glue bullet. The short barrel of the .25 let's the bullet retain almost all the thrust from the primer making it really fly.
If you cast any hot glue bullets to try this, let them cure overnite and then use some crisco as bullet lube .
