I shoot so that I can handload.
Do you mean "bullet " lube , that is tumbled, dipped or applied to a bullet , loaded in a cartridge , then fired in a barrel ? Which bullet lube protects the bore from rust / corrosion ?
Corrosive primers , black or smokeless powder, rifle or handgun ?

Ballistol!
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

Yes, I edited the title. I meant bullet lube. Thanks for pointing out my vague question.

For me, Carnuba wax, 2-3% leaves bores clean, shiny, and they seem to stay that way.
Seems to leave a micro thin hard shell between the steel and the air.
I put mine in both Bens Red and Ben's Liquid Lube. Does not take much and don't go over that 3% by weight.
I keep reading about the shiny bore condition after using carnuba wax. I have only used speed green until now, and was wondering if it left the bore any shinier or cleaner.

TAC 1 and TAC X do just that..They both have Anti corrosion properties from 2 different ingredients and one of them is Carnauba wax.
I have yet to clean the bore of my Marlin after using it hunting in cold damp weather and I never have corrosion..It is an old beat up 336 with Ballard rifling and a lot of the blueing is gone so I have to oil the exterior but never touch the bore. It is my stand by gun that I can carry through the swamps and not worry about scratching it
Well that is good to hear about Tac1! I am on my last stick of speed green, and have 10 sticks of Tac1 to try!

It should be just fine and a bit less smokey
The Alox compounds are used as a corrosion inhibitor. I don't think there is any "best" corrosion inhibitor amongst the lubes, but most do decently, if you don't live near the ocean.
I don't know if it is "the best" but the lubricant I use that works well with modern non-corrosive primers and smokeless powder is Lithi-Bee , a mix of 3 parts beeswax and 1 part Lithium grease (Lucas Red-N-Tacky lithium grease) . If you have corrosive primers or black powder I don't think any lube will "protect" against rust.
