    Hi-Tec coating questions

A friend has started to use Hi-Tec coating, and he's very happy with it. I
was thinking of trying it with some 158 gr boolits I will cast for a .357
S&W that I have on order.

I'm curious if anyone has used Hi-Tec for full snort .357's without
    leading?

Also, is there any issue applying gas checks after applying two coats of Hi-Tec?

By the way after reading the Hi-Tec procedures, I arrived at the following
    figures...

$10.95 for 3.5 oz of powder (99 gr).

20 gr of powder per 100 ml acetone will yield total of 497+ ml of solution.

6 ml solution to coat 4.5 lbs of boolits.

3.5 oz powder will double coat 186 lbs of boolits, or 8,250 158 gr boolits,
at $0.0013 per boolit, or $0.13 per 100 boolits.

    Seems like a deal...

In the coatings and alternatives forum there is a thread called simple hi-tek coating. Move your post there. That is where all the hi-tek crew hang out. You will get your questions answered. I'm pretty sure some of the guys have used it in barn burner 357's.
Boolits !!!!! Does that mean what I think it do? It do!

depending on how well they are covered you may want to apply a third coat.
