    Teddy Roosevelt Commemorative

    Made in 1969. .30-30 caliber.
I added a mid range tang sight for long distance shooting with cast bullets ....
The Lyman 311284 (220 grs.) pushed by 34/H414 exits the barrel at 2,012 f.p.s.

Favorite target is "Homer" the 1000 yards steel buffalo.

Recently I was playing with some subsonic loads with 200 gr cast bullet.
7/231 = 1120 f.p.s. Target was the 500 meter steel ram. What fun!

    .

IMO, it looks like a fancy Model 64 - at most likely less than half the price of a gennie.

    The best of both worlds..............................

Now I lay me down to sleep

I sold magazine subscriptions in FFA fundraisers in high school in a vain attempt to win such a rifle. Thank you for the memory.
    Best, Thomas.

Very nice!! And so glad you use it instead of making it a safe queen.
