At one time I was able to obtain 60. Lb ingots from Sanders Lead. I tried melting them with a small propane torch. It would work, but wasn't the best way, as the ingot absorbed the heat. I took one to the place where my son worked to try the oxycetelene torch. That did a bit better but still took a while. Oh the days of my youth!

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?

I have a block that's about 40lbs. It's the shape of a book. Do you think that I could split it with a table saw? If the chain saw works. I think I could get it small enough for my pot with a table saw.

I'll definitely keep an eye out as I can use some for sure! You've got enough that hopefully it won't all run out before I get a chance to buy some haha. That's a serious amount of lead...my wife would probably kill me if I rolled in with almost a ton of anything haha

Pipe that large doesn't come in schedule 40/80. It is .375" wall or less. Most is just rolled on site and welded up. In a former life I sold the stuff.
