Ordered a M4 177 barrel from Crosman to replace the smoothbore barrel of my older 760.
They have changed the stock number of this barrel, its now the Mk177.
Length is about 16.5 ".
Price for the barrel was $9.95, the plastic barrel support was $1. Shipping was $4.

Accuracy appears to be very good, especially compared to its accuracy with the smoothbore barrel.

It took only minutes to mount the new barrel but much longer to remove the old one due to it having had welded on front and rear sights. The rear sight was already broken so I ground the remains away so I could slide the barrel through the barrel band.

Barrel supports are not reusable, so I sawed the old one off as well.

The new barrel support has a small indexing nib that the old one didn't have so I had to saw that off as well.

Every thing else was simply turning a few screws.

I was pleased to find the point of impact with the new barrel was practically the same as the old one, so I did not have to adjust the scope to plink cans at 25 yards. I'll fine tune the zero when the weather improves. it stormed yesterday and was cold as a well diggers pantaloons. Sunny now but still cold.
