    Good luck to all.

    I've never hunted turkey.No desire,and don't like turkey.Pretty much if I ain't gonna eat it,I ain't gonna kill it.

But...my daughter has asked me for years to take her turkey hunting.I have finally agreed to do this for her.I mean why not, time spent, right. So her birthday is July,(30 years old) and I'll get her a shotgun.By next spring we should be ready.Never too late I guess. She will not deer hunt. They're too cute.

I'm getting gear together, watching video's and talking to people who know.Hopefully this will work out and she'll get a bird.

Miss turkey hunting. Waybetter than butterball. However I do want and need wild turkey feet.

I'll be out on April 17, with my 12 ga, loaded with 3" Win, 2 oz of copper plated 4's. With the tight Hastings choke, a 40 yd shot is very doable.

The season in Virginia starts this Saturday ! I'm sitting in the airport in Seoul Korea typing this so I won't get out the first day . But I might go sunday ! My load is 30 grains of SR7625 with 1 1/4 ounces of Magnum 4's that's a 10 gauge 2 7/8" using the Remington SP-10 wad with a 16 gauge filler wad in the shotcup and a 10 gauge overshot card beneath the crimp just to keep it flat. I've got ten of the 2 7/8" 10 gauge guns at the moment and that's pretty much the standard for the lot .

If it's dry out, Remington sp-10, 3-1/2" 2-1/4 ounces of buffered no. 2 shot.
If it's raining I'll head to the fields with a 22-250.

I have hunted them in the past, but not for the past 2 years, so I am excited to get out this Wednesday. I will be carrying my trusty Knight TK2000 (muzzleloading 12 gauge) loaded with 100gr Fg blackpowder, a ranger elite wad, and 1 3/4 oz of #5 nickel plated lead shot. I will also be hauling my brand new blind from Lucky's Blinds, made in Michigan.

My oldest tagged out on Fort Knox last weekend. He used a 20ga with production ammo. Myself and my two boys are headed out in the am. I'll be using a 12ga with my 2.75" #5 and #7 over Longshot. This is my favorite hunting, and now I'm sharing it with both sons. Hoping my 8 yr old sits still long enough. Should be interesting!

Our season starts on April 19( if my memory is right). I bought a crossbow a month ago and have been practicing with that. But I will be taking my Benelli Nova 12 gauge along with 3 1/2 inch Winchester Turkey loads

Wish I could hunt but can't. I get a flock of 20 or 30 of them strolling though my yard once or twice a week.

My season only lasted about 4 hours. I love the smoke cloud of the muzzleloader, and a flopping gobbler when it clears. I do love my Lucky's ground blind. I hope to spend more than 4 hours in it next time.

Some are repulsed at it but when you use it, best there is. Make a deal with all, send me 2( two) Wild turkey feet and I' ll make you one and send it to you!
