    Waraloy 30X

    Hi guys...fairly new to the casting scene and looking to see if anyone has any idea what I have here ? Came with a small bucket of free lead. Thanks for your help. MikeClick image for larger version.

    Looks like bar solder, typically a Lead-Tin alloy. As to the 30x part, maybe 30% Tin, balance Lead?

    The archives and this whole website has so much info, we need a glossary for a glossary here! it is a bit overwhelming at first (for me, a newb) but I am very thankful that is the case. I'm afraid to ask a question unless I search and search because it seems like most stuff is here, you've just got to dig for it sometimes.
