Well, I bought 3 jugs of surplus powder and a friend of mine bought the 4th, so the price was better. I got the 860 cause I couldn't resist the price. It worked well in my 308. I tried it today in the 30'06 and 7.65 arg. Nothing spactacular. BUT in the 22-250, I shot a 5 shot group of .4625000". OK, it measured 11/16 outside to outside. So 11/16 - .225 = less than a half inch.

This is at 50 yards.

On the other side of the coin, it shot a nice 5 1/2" group with 15 or 20 grains of WC820 and 1 1/4" with surplus 4895.

Cases were not black or even the necks with the 860. I had to try it, after all it is an overbore cartridge.

See my 300 yard target under competition results.
