Silver Horde Fishing Supplies gave me a couple of their ballistic cloth flasher protectors to give away as door prizes. I find them very useful protecting my T/C Contender barrels up to 14". In the past, Silver Horde generously gold plated those 30/30 cases for the Practical Rifleman's Award but they are no longer doing that plating (I only have a couple more).

I have heard from Pat Marlin and he will be sending products for prizes again this year. Also I just received a PM from Miha and he is sending 3 moulds for prizes. And Al Nelson from NOE moulds will be sending a package of assorted products for prizes too. And I do believe that we will be seeing some of Randy Rat's excellent beeswax again this year. Thank you to these generous vendor sponsors. Lot's of incentive for friendly competition.

Looks like weather won't be quite as hot as last year. See you all at the Griddle or at the Rulz Meeting on Friday (or maybe breakfast at the Inn on Friday). I hope the Winnemucca Inn still has its ham-and-eggs morning special.

I will be in Winnemucca Thursday evening/late afternoon. Staying at Scott's Shady Court. See you then. I talked to Tim Janke today and I am going to help with set up stuff Friday. Meeting at the Inn for that breakfast special Friday morning. See you Thursday!

Won't be there as have an appointment with the friendly surgeon for the implantation of spinal cord stimulator wiring on the 2nd. Full power setting for total spinal rigidity will come in handy for next year's standing shooting work.

Good luck with that surgery sorry you can't make it. My exwife had that surgery. If we turned her just right we got better TV reception.

No one need worry about not having a gun for an event. I will have lots of guns and ammo with me and anyone is welcome to use them. This also applies if you have a suitable gun and just want to try mine.

    Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thank you Tim. As always one of the most generous at our event. A true example of what this event has traditionally been all about.

I had expected my son to join us for the weekend and prepped all four rifles plus about 1000 rounds. Just learned he cannot make it. I'll be bringing it all anyway. Of course, what I have to offer is a tiny drop in the bucket compared to Tim's collection.

Big thanks to all of our donors !
We had a pretty small turn out this year , but we exposed several new folks to the wonder of it all .
I was very happy and surprised to see my life long friend Mike show up . This event is way outside of his "comfort zone" . He jumped in and shot one of our games right away and milled around and shot a few more guns . Mike doesn't load , let alone cast . He's been 1 of those factory or nothing guys despite my best efforts . He really surprised just digging in he was even on the leaders board untill about 11:00 Sunday morning .

There was a young man from Utah also who's name just didn't stick with me . I think he may be much more into shooting now than before .

Did I thank our hosts , ram rods and sponcers ? Well done gentlemen !

............Well I sure had a great time! And thanks to Harter66 and his wife for generating a great deal at the Model T motel and casino for us NCBS attendees. It was an enjoyable stay, and the complimentary breakfasts were great. Wonder if Ammohead got a date with the cute Russian waitress? I just now today finished my gun cleaning chores. Not that I'm slow or anything!

Starting to feel the effects now and doing better, thanks! Sounds like Holly is becoming quite the shooter. Perhaps one of those Henry lever guns in .327 Federal might be in her future once they get the bugs worked out of them enough to start selling them...? Lots of guys buy guns "for their wives" you know...

Holly just downloaded her pics from her camera. She got some dandies including a boolit in the air from Ventnburn's rifle during the practical shoot. Now we just have to figure out how to get them posted.

Hey. Buck. I know you are lurking out there. If you still want some vine maple to make a bow, I have a good one crowding my fruit trees. Do you want it cut with the sap up or down??
