Spending much of the afternoon with 5 of my 7 grandbabies...
Since I started chemo they haven't been around much due to not wanting to expose me to school-age colds etc.

Not today, but yesterday, went to Cabela's and spotted some Federal large pistol primers. Needless to say, but four thousand of them jumped into my cart. They're almost impossible to find in my area.

My wife and I took a walk with our two Golden Doodles. One is still a puppy. Great dogs and good conversation with my wife.

I found out my old newspaper boss is still alive. I was 10 yrs old when he gave me a job delivering newspapers here in town. He is now 93 yrs old and i had thought of him a lot over the years. He and his wife live 40 miles from me in a nursing home. Another former paper carrier told me where he was. As soon as he gets over his cold, I'm going to go see him. He sounded Great. I was told he was a tail gunner in a bomber in WW2. Can't wait to see him. By the way, I'm 69, and we have a lot of catching up to do. I was able to talk to him today for a short time, it was great to hear his voice and know he's still alive.

The snow is finaly starting to melt up at the range. Going to keep me busy for the next while picking up lead. (A lot of it mine) The latest rage among the youngers is shot guns with slugs or single ball. Lots to fill the pot.

Spending time with the grandkids. that is always special. Hearing my oldest daughter's ringtone when she texts me always brings a smile to my face.

I awoke this morning to the smell of coffee and Jimmy Dean.
The birds are singing and there is a bright sun in a calm and cloudless sky. Even arthritis is at bay.
If anything better could exist, on this side, I can't think of it.

All that stuff about grandkids makes me smile. Today 1st thing this am was the thought that soon my stepmother will die and begin her trip to the hell that she has prepared for herself! It made me smile!

In the last month, everytime I fired up the alloy furnace to cast some boolits, I've chosen a mold to use, that gives me fits.

This morning, I heated the alloy furnace, started casting, and it was JOY JOY JOY !
The four cavity NOE mold rained boolits, til the furnace was empty.

Like others, the grandboy . He's six and sent us a "selfie" today on his mom's phone. We'll have him and 10 little cousins here for our annual Easter egg hunt, now THAT will be a month's worth of smiles !
