Yesterday was youth turkey season here so me and my hunting buddy Parker went out amongst them. I must say while we were hunting I had my doubts because you can only keep an 8 yr old still for a limited time. It's a small limit also but once the battle was engaged Parker come thru like a pro.

Its questionable who was more excited. Parker, his dad or me!

Sorry guys, no home cast here. Not even a reload. Remington 410 3" 7-1/2 shot
Some people live and learn but I mostly just live

That is AWESOME!! The pride and joy on Parker's face says it all. Yes it is an exciting time. The turkey's are strutting and gobbling so it should be a good season for us all. I am especially thrilled for Parker.

Tell that young man congratulations for me, please.

I used an H&R .410 very similar to the one he is holding for a lot of stuff as I was growing up; not turkey, there weren't any around here then, but he has proven that you don't need to throw 2¼ oz of shot to kill a turkey.
