This is a base pour design I'm threatening to get in .41.
The plug would be adjustable length and have interchangeable tips for WFN, RN and "Webley Manstopper".
Making the forward portion bore rider diameter might be a better mousetrap but I'm still thinking on it.

The nose plug would work the same as the base plug on this one.

Bought an Accurate 31-157R two cavity from a member on here. Big, flat nose. First boolit for my first 30-30. Hope it feeds.

Not a recent purchase but an estate find from a few years back that I am finally getting around to making it ready to go to work. The mold is a 2 cavity Ideal 360271 (150 grain SWC) that had been abused by previous owners. The top of the blocks are very irregular and allow flashing at the boolit's base, enough to make sizing difficult (too large and irregular to enter a sizing die). I stripped all of the parts from these blocks, including the sprue cutter stop pin, and will deliver it to a local machine shop for the correction. Boolits cast with this mold drop at .361" which should work nicely in the .38 S&W caliber. This pattern has 2 lube grooves but no crimp groove. I will lube the bottom groove only and use the top groove as an oversize crimp groove. As said before - "Make it work. Wear it out. Make it do, or do without."

I had a package delivered by DHL yesterday, a 452PB 4 cavity. I've been heat cycling it off and on today and will pour some lead in it tomorrow. Who knows, it might give a good haul tomorrow. My usual experience is that those beautiful brass molds aren't happy until the 3rd casting session. My problem is when they get where the bullets start dropping perfect, it's hard to slow down and that's when I can get tinning.

I just received my Ideal 358156 2 Cavity mold w/ handles from ebay. Beautiful condition. Paid $17.00 shipping included. The seller listed it as a Lee double cavity 358 156 grain mold. The pictures told a different story. I've found that I can get some really good deals by studying pictures.

Nothing new for me in a while. But I do need to order another one. Looking for something in 40S&W that will also be used in a 10mm.

A family friend passed away a while back and I recently ended up with a number of molds from his estate. Several of interest to me are a Lyman 358395 HBWC, a Lyman 358156 and a 50 cal maxiball. Click image for larger version.
