Got a few of those, there's one right on the end table as I sit on the couch, 2 on the bookcase by my bed, one on the bookcase in our dining room. Never more than 2/3 seconds from a auto handgun. Woe be to the body that has no business here!

Were I live is far from wonderful. Certainty not as safe as it was. The law dose not allow loaded firearms in your own house, ammo and guns must be locked and locked up separately. With that said I won't live in fear of attack. There is a fine line and in situations and the victims have no rights, especially if the they are gun owners.
Where would I move, farther away.
My comments were not to offend, just how I see it. Living in fear is not living. Would I rely on the police to save me, no I would not.

I would hope for both of you that if you don't have ability or authority to stand ready cocked and locked that your means of security is for you and household readily available , should that need arise .

Frankly by the time the zomby hoards of jackalope are lunging at the door I doubt very much that a city cop much less a sheriff is going to hassle you much about the 12 ga Louisville Slugger or the 6# Gatling axe . The Game warden might ........ But you might get a pass if they were rabid zombie jackalope.

Three pages in and folks have given up their arsonal data , denied any replacement for the boating accident and made clear that every law is followed to the letter and all possible field interpretations there to . What is really important is that whether your jackalope tool of choice is a Brown Bess or an Abrams fitted with a 120 , 3 50s , 5 9s and 5 M4s is that you have a clean bore "a pound of balls and a half pound of powder " and be reasonably proficient in YOUR tool of choices use .

As I tell my son's in service " listen to the Sargent , keep your head down and your chin up , you can see better that way ."
