Somebody gave me their gomboo !!!

I wanted to spend my weekend PC'n some boolits, but since I can't stand up for more than 5 minutes without wanting to fall over, I've been laying on the couch with my laptop reading all the forums here. found an interesting post from Dragonheart on how to improve my HF gun. That got me to wondering about other PC guns, more research, then I found this: http://www.powdercoatguide.com/2012/...l#.WNaKefkrIdU

I've done quite a bit of reading in the PC forum and haven't seen or heard of anything like this before, but it makes sense to me. I am going to try it when I get off the couch.

Has anyone else tried this ?

Bunk - ju st need the boolits grounded to HF gun clip. It is connected directly to the HV P.S. The HV cable is coax and watch the connection of the ground on it to the gun, least you get a HV tickle.
    Whatever!

Well, that was NOT the answer I wanted to hear , but it does kinda make sense to me. But then, if there is no resistance in a hundred feet of wire, you could just use the equipment ground on your PC gun. Overthinking these things is not a problem for me.

I think the principle is sound and I have a lot of copper wire ( electric co. just replaced some poles on the back side of my property and left the wire attached) that's heavy gauge that was the ground for the pole and I think I'll set up a new ground for the shop.

I've heard it does help with powder coating. The guys that do multicolored Yeti cups swear by it.
