Pedersoli vs Uberti "Long Range Rifle" Sharps

What's the difference between the Pedersoli and Uberti Sharps Long Range model ? I hear that the Uberti is made for them by Pedersoli. They sure look identical!

You are correct about who makes Uberti's Sharps rifle barreled actions. Uberti does their own wood, sights, etc. I've owned a number of Pedersoli rifles and I can attest to their outstanding accuracy. Either one would be suitable for recreational shooting or hunting.

I wouldn't discount a C. Sharps '74, made in the USA, and priced close to the Italian guns.

I have a pedersoli sharps long range in 45-70. Its the one made for cabellas about 15years ago. 34" half octagon barrel double set triggers globe front and long range rear tang sight. I replaced the front with a pedersoni wind gage front globe and then the rear with a long range soule that also has windage adjustments. Its a great looking rifle and a great shooter a little on the heavy side for shillouettes ( actually over the NRA limit). But a very good shooter. With the length of pull and 34" barrel finding a case to fit it is tricky though. Michigan Dundees cabellas had it on sale for $900.00 when I got it. Mine has never seen a jacketed bullet or smokless powder. Other than the sights it needed nothing to be competitive on the line.

I don't know if I am imagining things, but it has always seemed to me that the wood on the Pedersolis' were just a bit nicer than the Ubertis'.
